France international Yann M'Vila has sealed a season-long loan move to Sunderland.
The Rubin Kazan midfielder becomes the Black Cats' fifth summer signing ahead of the start of the new Premier League campaign this weekend.
M'Vila, who has been capped 22 times at international level, has the option to make his move permanent at the end of the season.
Speaking to the club's official website, the 25-year-old said: "I'm very happy to be a Sunderland player. I had a very good feeling training with the team; every player welcomed me and the feeling was very good with them so I'm excited for the start of the season.
"I've also wanted to play in the Barclays Premier League for a long time so I'm very happy to be here."
Sunderland have already signed Jeremain Lens, Younes Kaboul, Sebastian Coates and Adam Matthews this summer, while a deal to bring Leroy Fer to the Stadium of Light is thought to have stalled.
