Sunderland are poised to launch a £7m bid for Wigan Athletic winger Callum McManaman, according to a report.
The England Under-21 international impressed for the Latics towards the end of last season despite their relegation to the Championship.
Black Cats boss Paolo Di Canio will make an offer for the 22-year-old to beat his former manager Roberto Martinez - now at Everton - to his signature, reports The People.
McManaman made 30 appearances for Wigan last season, scoring six goals.
