Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins believes that Bafetimbi Gomis will feel 'settled' at the club as the season goes on, following uncertainty over his future.
The 29-year-old was linked with Crystal Palace and West Ham United during the January transfer window, but he ruled out a move away from the club on deadline day.
The Frenchman recently admitted that he was unhappy with a lack of regular game time, but following the sale of Wilfried Bony to Manchester City, the club were determined to keep him.
"I am sure he will settle here," the South Wales Evening Post quotes Jenkins as saying.
"He is happy living here and so are his family, and he takes on board the fact that we made a big effort and commitment to bring him here last summer.
"Yes, ideally, he would like to have played more in the first half of the season, but now he has the chance to do that and I expect him to show what a good player he is."
Gomis joined Swansea from Lyon last summer.
