Ki Sung-yueng delighed with triumph over Manchester United

Ki Sung-yueng admits that it is a "very special day" for Swansea City as they secure a Premier League double over Manchester United with a 2-1 win in Wales.

Ki Sung-yueng has admitted that it is a "very special day" for everyone linked with Swansea City after they claimed their first league double over Manchester United.

Ander Herrera's opener was cancelled out by Ki before Bafetimbi Gomis fortuitously earned all three points for the hosts at the Liberty Stadium, and the South Korean midfielder revealed his delight following the game.

"Against Manchester United we have now won twice in a year so it is a very special day. The gaffer said before the game let's make history by winning against Manchester United," Ki, who also scored in the win at Old Trafford on the opening day, told Sky Sports News.

"He motivated all the players before the game. To be fair a lot of people maybe didn't expect us to win but we just really focused on the game and gave everything during the game and that's why we deserved to win this game.

"I have scored two goals against Manchester United this season. This is a great memory for myself. I have always tried to help the team and I just want to score my goals this season."

The win leaves Swansea ninth in the Premier League table, 10 points behind United in fourth.
