Ronald Koeman's agent, Guido Albers, has contacted Swansea City to discuss the possibility of the Dutch coach becoming the club's new manager, Swans director John van Zweden has confirmed.
The Feyenoord boss, who is expected to leave his post at the end of the season, claimed in February that he could be "ready" for the job if an offer materialised.
Van Zweden has now admitted that Albers has approached him to ask if Koeman has the necessary skills to take over at the Liberty Stadium.
"Albers has approached me asking if Koeman is a suitable candidate," Van Zweden is quoted as saying by The Express.
Garry Monk is currently in temporary charge following the departure of Michael Laudrup.
