Brendan Rodgers urges Swansea to avoid getting caught up in the highs and lows of each result.

Brendan Rodgers has urged his team to avoid getting caught up in the highs and lows of each win and loss.

Despite his Swansea City side suffering two consecutive defeats, Rodgers has reminded the club that they took nine points from three games after they last lost back-to-back Premier League contests.

"We have had two difficult games against Everton and Tottenham Hotspur," he told reporters.

"We never got too down when we have lost games and we hope we continue to do what we've done before when we have lost two in a row and that is to win three on the bounce.

"We have seven tough games to go but we're motivated to finish as high as we can."

The Swans can move as high as eighth place in the Premier League with a win over travelling Newcastle United this afternoon.
