Hogan Ephraim has admitted that he was tempted by the new challenge when he decided to sign for MLS side Toronto FC.
The striker joined the Canadian outfit in February on a loan basis from Premier League side Queens Park Rangers.
Discussing his switch, the 24-year-old also revealed that having his former QPR teammate Ryan Nelsen as a manager helped to sway his decision.
"Ryan being here, that was the main pulling point for me. I've known him well and he's shown great faith in me. To come all the way over here and to give me the phone call and tell me he wants to sign me, that was great encouragement," he told the club's official website.
"I had been playing a lot [on loan] in the Championship in England. There were a few offers there but this was just something different out of my comfort zone and something challenging. That just excited me massively."
Ephraim has made two appearances for his new employers.
