Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue has revealed that he intends to leave the club this summer against the wishes of his manager.
The 24-year-old has long been linked with a move to North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as a switch to fellow Premier League outfit Everton in the past.
While current boss Alain Casanova is keen for the French international to stay, Capoue wants to depart the Stadium Municipal.
"If [Casanova] wants to keep me, that is good," Capoue told L'Equipe.
"That says that he counts on me, that he is happy with me.
"But it is football. I feel it is the moment to leave, to play in big competitions."
Capoue has played 150 times for Toulouse since making his debut in 2007.
