Toulouse coach Alain Casanova admits that he is struggling to retain the services of French international midfielder Etienne Capoue.

Toulouse have admitted that they are likely to lose French international midfielder Etienne Capoue in the summer.

Capoue has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, thanks largely to a series of powerful performances in Ligue 1 in the last two seasons.

The 24-year-old has been scouted by Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the past but Toulouse coach Alain Casanova has insisted that his star midfielder's future destination is far from decided at this stage.

He told talkSPORT: "I am going to be selfish and say I wish he could stay and remain with us.

"But if he does leave, we would wish him good luck after everything he has given us."

Capoue has made more than 200 first-team appearances for Toulouse and also played five times for the French national side.
