Report: Sevilla want Xherdan Shaqiri

A report claims that Sevilla want to sign Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri this summer.

Europa League winners Sevilla are reportedly on the verge of launching an ambitious move for Bayern Munich midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri.

The 22-year-old is widely regarded as one of the brightest talents in European football, but has struggled to hold down a regular spot in the Bayern team since arriving from Basel in 2012.

Despite limited starts and indeed appearances last season, the Swiss international still managed to score seven times from a wide area.

A number of clubs have been credited with an interest, but according to Mundo Deportivo, Sevilla are hopeful of convincing the attacker to move to Spain.

Liverpool are also believed to be in the running.
