Valencia coach Ernesto Valverde has remained calm on the issue of a new contract with the Spanish club, but has admitted that he has not yet been offered a new deal.
He said that the Valencia board are happy with his performance and will open contract negotiations when he asks for it. In the meantime, he is instead focused on the important match against Mallorca on Sunday.
"They are happy, but I have said nothing," AS quotes Valverde as saying. "When considering new contract the club depends on me.
"There are three important points to play for on Sunday. We have to become strong at home which is where we must improve."
Valencia are currently fifth in La Liga, two points behind Malaga.
