Jose Pekerman: 'We still have work to do'

Colombia boss Jose Pekerman insists that his side still has a lot of work to do ahead of their Copa America Group C opener with Venezuela.

Colombia coach Jose Pekerman has insisted that his side still has work to do ahead of their Copa America Group C opener against Venezuela.

The sides meet on Sunday in Chile, and Pekerman has insisted on urging caution regarding his side's hopes of winning the tournament by stating that the team will need to be honest about their chances.

"We know that Colombia still have work to do. We have to analyse our situation and be honest with ourselves. There are always things to change," said Pekerman, according to Goal.com.

"We know that our opponents are very strong. I will finalise the team on Sunday. Every player knows his role and will be ready if called upon.

"The team has proven to be flexible and has always given its utmost."

A competitive Group C also plays host Brazil and Peru.
