Marcelino calm over arrivals

Villarreal boss Marcelino insists that he will not be forced into the transfer market this winter.

Villarreal boss Marcelino has insisted that he will only strengthen his squad this month if it makes financial sense.

Cani and Javier Espinosa have left the Yellow Submarine for Atletico Madrid and Almeria respectively this month.

However, the Spaniard has insisted that he will not be forced into the transfer market.

"We have Jonathan dos Santos, who hasn't played much, and [Antonio] Rukavina, who we've pushed into midfield," he told reporters.

"If there are any players who can help us, they must meet our sporting and economic conditions."

Villarreal currently sit sixth in La Liga.
