Villarreal skipper Bruno has refused to be drawn on speculation linking teammate Cani with a move away from the Spanish club.
It has been reported that Cani, 33, has been made available for transfer in January after struggling for form this season.
Bruno and Cani are said to be close friends off the field as well as teammates on it, but the Yellow Submarine captain has refused to comment on the situation.
"We have to wait and see what the club and Cani think," Bruno told reporters.
Bruno and Cani have been Villarreal teammates since 2006.
