Midfielder Andy King reveals that he is looking forward to the opportunity to work with new Wales boss Ryan Giggs.

Midfielder Andy King has revealed that he welcomed the news that Ryan Giggs had been named as the new Wales boss.

Last month, Giggs was confirmed as the replacement for Chris Coleman, and the Manchester United legend is now preparing for his first fixture against China in March.

King has established himself as an important member of the Dragons squad, and the Swansea City loanee has admitted that he will be excited to work under Giggs should he be selected in his first squad.

The 29-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "I'm looking forward to working with him and seeing where we can go. It didn't surprise me, not really. I'd read a few things about them wanting the manager to be Welsh and his CV as a player speaks for itself.

"I imagine the players will take it really well, he has worked under one of the best managers in the history of the game.

"If he can use some of that experience and put it into Welsh football with what we've already got there then hopefully it will be a good mix."

King has scored two goals in 44 appearances for his country since making his debut in 2009.
