Chris Coleman confident of signing new Wales contract

Wales manager Chris Coleman is confident that he will sign a new contract to continue his stay with the national team beyond the summer of 2014.

Wales manager Chris Coleman is confident that he will be offered a new contract with the national team.

The former Fulham boss has revealed that he has held positive talks with the Football Association of Wales over extending his stay beyond the summer of 2014.

"I think I'll end up signing a new contract, I'm quite confident of that," BBC Sport quotes Coleman as saying. "We're not a million miles apart."

Coleman took the helm of the Wales national team in January 2012 following the death of Gary Speed.
