Wales boss Chris Coleman not thinking about new contract

Wales boss Chris Coleman says that he does not want to be distracted by talks over a new contract while the team are qualifying for Euro 2016.

Wales manager Chris Coleman has insisted that he does not want to be distracted by talk of a new contract while the team are involved in qualifying for Euro 2016.

The 45-year-old has led his side to the top of Group B and have a three-point lead with four games left to play.

Coleman's current deal expires after the finals in France next summer, but the former Fulham and Real Sociedad boss says that getting to the tournament in the first place remains his priority.

"I can't stress enough that my full focus is on leading my country to France 2016," he told BBC Sport.

"Hopefully we finish well and I'm leading the team to France and then I imagine that would suggest that we'll be sitting down sooner or later to talk about the future."

Wales face Cyprus in their next qualifier on September 3.
