Walsall have extended Michael Cain's loan from Leicester City for another month.
The 20-year-old midfielder will now remain at the Bescot Stadium until after the team's trip to Colchester United on January 17.
Cain has scored one goal in 12 appearances for Walsall so far this season.
"It's a real boost to be able to further extend Michael's loan," manager Dean Smith told the club's official site. "He's a talented young lad who has slotted extremely well into the team. He has a bright future ahead of him and I am delighted that we have been able to extend his stay with us."
Walsall are back in League One action on Boxing Day with the visit of Swindon Town.
