Quique Flores confirms Watford exit clause

Head coach Quique Flores admits that there is a break clause in his Watford contract, amid speculation he will be on the move in the summer.

Quique Flores has refused to confirm that he will remain in charge of Watford beyond the end of this season.

Instead, when asked about his at future Vicarage Road, the Spaniard revealed that there is a break clause in his contract that either party can trigger.

"I never plan long for anything as I know how life moves and because life is full of surprises," he told reporters.

"It's a clause at the end of the season that means we need to talk again. So at the end of the season we will talk again.

"It's an option and when you put this kind of clause in the contract, it's for both parties. So you need to be clear and to see the things in the same angle."

Flores is widely regarded to have done a good job in his first campaign in charge of the promoted Hornets, having all but guided the team to Premier League safety and the semi-final of the FA Cup.
