West Brom manager Steve Clarke has warned his players of any misconceptions about today's opponents West Ham, saying they offer more than simply long-balls.

West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke has warned his players that there is more to West Ham United than direct football.

The Baggies welcome the Londoners this afternoon and Clarke wants to rid any misconceptions about Sam Allardyce's team.

"They have passionate fans who care about the team, they try to play football the right way," Clarke told the club's official website.

"They try to be positive, they try to get balls into the box, they try to score goals, and for me that's the right way to play football.

"They play good football when they are allowed to play good football. If it becomes a scrap then they can stand up for a scrap as well. Whatever type of game it is, West Ham will be ready."

West Brom welcome West Ham this afternoon at 4pm.
