Tony Pulis praises his side after Arsenal win

After beating high-flying Arsenal, Tony Pulis pays tribute to his West Bromwich Albion players.

West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis has heaped praise on his team after they saw off the challenge of Arsenal with a 2-1 victory at The Hawthorns this afternoon.

A James Morrison strike and a Mikel Arteta own goal were enough to give the Baggies only their second home win of the season, and end Arsenal's hopes of finishing the weekend at the top of the Premier League table.

"It's such an important win, Arsenal are an exceptional side. At times we were fortunate but the hard work and determination of the lads - we got beat here the last couple of games without deserving to - there are such small margins and it's dropped our side today," Pulis told BBC Sport.

"This is a difficult job, as difficult as I have had for lots of reasons that I don't want to go into now, but we need time to turn things around.

"If we don't get results we won't get that time. We needed to get our home form going and to do that against one of the top sides in the league was fantastic."

West Brom continue their season when they travel to West Ham on November 29, while the Gunners are next in action when they host Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
