Report: Seven coaches on West Bromwich Albion shortlist

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly choosing from a list of seven candidates as they prepare to name a new head coach.

West Bromwich Albion have reportedly drawn up a list of seven candidates with a chance of becoming their new head coach.

The Baggies are searching for a new manager after parting company with Pepe Mel at the end of a season in which they only just managed to avoid relegation.

According to Sky Sports News, neither Neil Lennon nor Real Madrid assistant coach Paul Clement are in the running to take charge at The Hawthorns.

Former Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has also been linked to the role, but chairman Jeremy Peace will have the final say on who is given the job.

Despite not knowing who will lead the team next season, sporting director Richard Garlick and technical director Terry Burton will begin searching for new players immediately.
