Team News: Jonny Evans named as West Bromwich Albion captain for Huddersfield Town clash

Jonny Evans is named once again as West Bromwich Albion skipper as the Baggies face Huddersfield Town at The Hawthorns.

Jonny Evans has regained the West Bromwich Albion captaincy as the Baggies welcome Huddersfield Town to The Hawthorns.

The Northern Irishman lost the armband to Gareth McAuley in the 2-1 defeat to Southampton in the FA Cup last time out following his part in the Barcelona curfew-breaking incident.

However, Alan Pardew has opted to reinstate Evans as captain for Saturday's Premier League relegation six-pointer against the Terriers.

McAuley has dropped to the bench in the one change from the Saints defeat, with Kieran Gibbs coming in at left-back.

David Wagner, meanwhile, has made two changes to the Huddersfield XI that lost 2-0 to Manchester United in the FA Cup seven days ago.

The alterations come in midfield, as Jonathan Hogg and Alex Pritchard replace Tom Ince and Philip Billing.

Aaron Mooy remains sidelined due to an infected cut on a knee, while Michael Hefele and Chris Lowe are still out of the squad.

West Bromwich Albion: Foster; Dawson, Evans, Hegazi, Gibbs; Phillips, Barry, Krychowiak, McClean; Rodriguez, Rondon

Huddersfield Town: Lossl; Hadergjonaj, Zanka, Schindler, Kongolo; Williams, Hogg; Van La Parra, Pritchard, Quaner; Mounie
