West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of Uruguay captain Diego Lugano from French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
The 32-year-old defender has been capped 85 times at international level and arrives at The Hawtorns in a reported £1m transfer.
He spent last season on loan at Spanish outfit Malaga and announced his intention to leave Paris when he returned to the Ligue 1 champions this summer.
Lugano was reportedly in the West Midlands on Friday to finalise the deal with Baggies manager Steve Clarke, who has added the experienced centre-back to a defensive unit that already includes Jonas Olsson, Gareth McAuley and Liam Ridgewell.
The former Fenerbahce man is West Brom's third signing of the summer, with Nicolas Anelka and Goran Popov having already been recruited.
