Steven Reid has revealed that he is "delighted" to sign a new one-year contract with West Bromwich Albion.
The 32-year-old midfielder had been expected to leave the club this summer on a free transfer before penning a short-term extension.
"I am absolutely delighted to be staying, I never wanted to leave and I am happy we have reached an agreement," the Irishman told Sky Sports.
"I am looking forward to reporting for pre-season and hope we can build on last year's outstanding achievement in finishing eighth in the Premier League."
Reid arrived at The Hawthorns from Blackburn Rovers in 2010.
