West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke is reportedly considering bringing Nicolas Anelka to The Hawthorns this summer.
Anelka is technically available on a free transfer after failing to impress during a six-month spell with Juventus, despite being under contract with Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua.
Clarke worked with Anelka for a brief time at Chelsea and is mulling over a short-term move for the French striker, according to the Birmingham Mail.
The 34-year-old has also been placed as an odds-on favourite to make West Brom his next club by bookmakers Bet Victor and Sky Bet.
Anelka has considerable experience as a Premier League player, turning out for five different top-flight English sides including Bolton Wanderers, Arsenal and Liverpool.
