West Ham United trio return to full training, Gokhan Tore layoff confirmed

Aaron Cresswell, Havard Nordtveit and Jonathan Calleri each return to full training with West Ham United, but Gokhan Tore joins the club's list of absentees.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has been handed a fitness boost after seeing Aaron Cresswell, Havard Nordtveit and Jonathan Calleri return to full training.

Cresswell has been absent since damaging his knee ligaments during pre-season, while Nordtveit required a small medical procedure and Calleri picked up a minor injury.

Arthur Masuaku, brought in as cover for Cresswell, has himself recovered well from a knee injury of his own, but there is bad news elsewhere as Sam Byram and Gokhan Tore are both now on the sidelines.

West Ham's head of medical and sports science Stijn Vandenbroucke revealed on the club's official website that Byram suffered a "significant hamstring injury" in the recent meeting with Middlesbrough, which required surgery last weekend.

Gokhan Tore is expected to miss up to six weeks, meanwhile, having damaged his quadriceps in training during the two-week international break.

Elsewhere, Andre Ayew has stepped up his injury comeback and both Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho are undergoing their own fitness regimes.
