West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association for comments that he made following his side's FA Cup defeat to Manchester United on Wednesday.
Allardyce claimed after the 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford that his team should have been awarded a penalty.
"The charge is in relation to an alleged breach of FA Rule E3 concerning media comments which questioned the integrity of the match referee and/or match officials in general and/or implied that the match referee and/or match officials in general are motivated by bias and/or brought the game into disrepute," read an FA statement.
Allardyce has until Wednesday to respond to the charge.
