Saunders: 'O'Hara will get his chance'

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Dean Saunders admits that midfielder Jamie O'Hara will get an opportunity in the first team, despite being left out of his selection against Blackburn.

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Dean Saunders has revealed that Jamie O'Hara will get a first-team chance but he may have to wait for his opportunity to arise.

The Welshman replaced the sacked Stale Solbakken on January 7 and drew his first game in charge against Blackburn at Molineux last week.

"I have said I will give him his chance," Saunders told reporters.

"He is a really good footballer, he's got a great left foot, he sees a pass, he plays forward all the time, which is what good players do, he's an attack-minded player.

"Right now we just need to get some results and be harder to play against and I've put two players in the middle of midfield who are different types of players to Jamie. They are team players - I'm not saying Jamie isn't - but they work and get the ball back for the team and will do the defensive side of the game."

Wolves are currently 18th in the Championship, seven points clear of the relegation zone, as they prepare to face Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
