West Ham United chief Karren Brady condemns "moronic" supporters

West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady brands the attack on Manchester United's team bus "moronic" and vows to ban the fans who were involved for life.

West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady has condemned the "moronic" behaviour of some supporters before the club's final match at Upton Park on Tuesday.

The Hammers hosted Manchester United in their last game before moving to the Olympic Stadium, and kickoff was delayed by 45 minutes after the visitors' team bus was pelted with bottles thrown by some fans outside the ground.

"Manchester United were stuck just around the corner on Barking Road for nearly an hour as they crawled along inch-by-inch," Brady told The Sun.

"It was sadly during that time that a small handful of people decided to throw objects at the bus, causing some of the tinting shield in the windows to break off. It was a moronic thing to do and as a club we utterly condemn their behaviour.

"So let me be clear on this - they don't deserve to be part of our exciting future and if they are identified we will ban them for life without hesitation."

The Football Association is investigating the matter, which marred a memorable night for West Ham as they scored two late goals to come back from 2-1 down and sign off with a win at their home of 112 years.
