West Ham United are reportedly considering sending striker Andy Carroll to the US in order to speed up his return to fitness.
The 24-year-old is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines following manager Sam Allardyce's comments that he is monitoring the striker's recovery on a week-by-week basis.
After seeing specialists in Holland and Belgium, it is understood that Carroll could be sent to consult with medical teams in the US, who specialise in similar injuries in the NBA, according to The Express.
Following a loan spell, Carroll signed a permanent six-year deal with the Hammers from Liverpool for a reported £15m.
