Matt Taylor disappointed by West Ham United defeat

Matt Taylor admits his disappointment following West Ham United's late defeat at Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.

West Ham United midfielder Matt Taylor has admitted his disappointment following the team's late defeat at Everton in the Premier League.

Romelu Lukaku scored in the 81st minute at Goodison Park on Saturday to bring an end to the Hammers' five-game unbeaten run.

"It was very disappointing to come away with nothing. We know they are a top team and they were going to have a lot of possession, but we defended relatively well so it was disappointing to lose the game," Taylor told West Ham's official website.

"I thought we could maybe have done better when we had our chances, and it was just unfortunate to lose that goal late in the game."

West Ham continue their battle for Premier League survival next Saturday against Hull City at the KC Stadium.
