Victor Moses delighted with "great goal" in Manchester City scalp

Victor Moses pats himself on the back for a "great goal" in West Ham United's 2-1 at Manchester City and hopes that it is the first of many in claret and blue.

Victor Moses has revealed that he is delighted with such a "great goal" so early in his West Ham United career after helping to shoot down Manchester City at Eastlands on Saturday night.

Moses opened the scoring after just six minutes with a low drive from outside the box which beat Joe Hart at his near post in last night's shock 2-1 win.

The winger - on loan from Chelsea - impressed in his debut for Monday's win 2-0 over Newcastle United, and the 24-year-old is pleased to get off the mark.

"It's not a bad way to start!" he told the Irons' official website. "Winning two games in a row is fantastic and it's great credit to the lads. I'm delighted.

"We're pleased with the three points, it's a massive win and we just want to keep on winning games now. I was very happy to score. I should have scored against Newcastle but it wasn't to be. I scored today and hopefully it's the first of many for West Ham.

"I saw that Joe Hart thought I was going to cross the ball, so I caught him unawares. It was a great goal."

Diafra Sakho added a second on the half-hour mark, before Kevin De Bruyne reduced the arrears on the stroke of half time, but City failed to find an equalier after the break.

Slaven Bilic's side, who sit second in the Premier League table, have also won at Arsenal and Liverpool this season.
