Kurt Zouma is set to be dropped for West Ham United's Premier League match against Watford on Tuesday night, according to a report.
Disturbing footage has emerged of the 27-year-old kicking and slapping his pet Bengal cat on Sunday afternoon in his London home.
Zouma has since apologised for the incident, while West Ham have released a statement condemning the Frenchman's behaviour and they will now deal with the matter internally.
According to the Evening Standard, Zouma is not expected to play for the Hammers at the London Stadium in midweek, with David Moyes and senior club officials considering what disciplinary action should be taken.
Zouma was already a doubt heading into Tuesday's clash with the Hornets, after twisting his knee in last weekend's FA Cup fourth-round win against Kidderminster Harriers.
Before the footage was posted to the public, Moyes told the press that the defender would be fit to feature, but now the Scotsman is set to call upon Craig Dawson and Issa Diop to play at centre-back.
Since arriving at West Ham for around £30m last summer, Zouma has made 15 appearances across all competitions, scoring once.
