Besiktas refusing to refund West Ham United over Gokhan Tore loan

West Ham United winger Gokhan Tore's future remains in limbo, as Besiktas refuse to cut short his loan deal unless they are paid his £2.5m fee in full.

Besiktas chairman Fikret Orman has informed West Ham United that the Turkish club will only cut short Gokhan Tore's loan move should they pay up his £2.5m fee in full.

The Hammers are reportedly looking to offload the winger at the earliest possible opportunity, despite being less than halfway through a season-long loan.

Tore, who is currently out with a thigh injury, has struggled to make an impression during his eight appearances for United and looked likely to be on the way back to his parent club in January.

Besiktas are playing hardball, however, and will only welcome the 24-year-old back if West Ham agree to pay the remainder of his loan money.

"We will take Tore back in January on one condition - we won't pay West Ham back the £2.5m loan money for him," Orman is quoted as saying by The Sun.

"Gokhan wants to come back to Besiktas. We will only agree if they agree over the loan payment. And they are paying his wages in full."

Tore is said to be on £40,000 a week at the London Stadium which, combined with his loan fee, has set United back around £400,000 per appearance so far.
