Preview: Wigan Athletic vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Preview: Wigan vs. Wolves
Wolves can end their disappointing Premier League campaign on a high this weekend when they travel to Wigan Athletic.

It's a case of 'what could have been' for Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend when they take on Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium.

Wolves were relegated from the Premier League last month after a disastrous season in the top flight, while Wigan pulled off yet another remarkable escape act with a victory at Blackburn Rovers on Monday night.

Latics midfielder David Jones is the only worry for Roberto Martinez's side, who are looking for their third consecutive league win.

Kevin Foley, Matt Jarvis and David Davis are all expected to face late fitness tests in what is Terry Connor's last game in charge following the appointment of Stale Solbakken on Friday.

Current form:

Wigan: LWWLWW
Wolves: LLDLDD

Possible lineups:

Wigan: Al Habsi; Alcaraz, Caldwell, Boyce, Figueroa; McCarthy, Maloney, Moses, McArthur; Beausejour, Di Santo

Wolves: De Vries; Stearman, Ward, Berra, Zubar; Edwards, Kightly, Henry, Hunt; Fletcher, Doyle

Sports Mole says: 2-3
