Rotherham United boss would "love" to re-sign Wigan Athletic striker Nouha Dicko

Rotherham United manager Steve Evans admits that he would jump at the chance to re-sign Wigan Athletic striker Nouha Dicko on loan.

Rotherham United boss Steve Evans has admitted that he would jump at the chance to re-sign Wigan Athletic striker Nouha Dicko on loan.

Dicko found the net six times in as many games for Rotherham before being recalled by the Latics earlier this week due to a host of injuries at the DW Stadium.

Despite Dicko returning to his parent club, Evans will continue to keep tabs on the 21-year-old, who was said to be disappointed to leave the Millers.

"You'd never say never about getting him back and we'll be following it closely because if he was to be going on loan I know what his choice would be," Evans told The Star.

"His club, Wigan, have had a couple of injuries and are fully entitled to call him back.

"We'll miss Dicko and he's a top-class person as well. Our chairman and his vice-chairman are fully aware of the situation and that we will always have interest in someone like him and I would love to work with him again."

Dicko has made eight first-team appearances for Wigan, but he has yet to feature in a league game for the Latics.
