Razak Boukari ruled out for three months

Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Razak Boukari is ruled out for three months after being forced to undergo surgery on a hamstring injury.

Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Razak Boukari has undergone surgery to try to repair a severe hamstring injury picked up in pre-season.

It was initially thought that Boukari would be able to return to training within six weeks, but after further examination, it was deemed that the 27-year-old required an operation to fix the problem.

Head of medical Phil Hayward is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "Rather than it being a straightforward hamstring injury, it's actually a tear to the connective tissue between two of the hamstring muscles.

"Where a normal hamstring tear would be expected to heal within four to six weeks depending on the severity of it, this won't heal on its own without surgery."

Boukari has endured a nightmare spell at Molineux, making just six appearances for the club since he signed in 2012.
