Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Roger Johnson has apologised for allegedly arriving at training intoxicated.
The 28-year-old is believed to have turned up to the club's training ground under the influence of alcohol, which prompted a reported £50,000 fine.
"My conduct and approach to training on Monday was below the high standard the club rightly needs and demands from me and what I demand from myself," said Johnson. "I have apologised to the manager, my teammates and the club."
Interim manager Terry Connor has confirmed that the former Birmingham City defender was in "breach of club discipline" and has accepted the relevant punishment.
Johnson has recently struggled to stay in the Wolves side and has been dropped from the starting lineup by Connor for the club's last two matches.
