Steve McClaren has reportedly emerged as a leading contender to become the new manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Black Country outfit are in the market for a new boss following their decision to sack Dean Saunders at the end of a season that saw the club relegated to League One.
However, despite the fact that the team will start the new campaign in the third tier of English football, former England coach McClaren is undaunted by the prospect of taking charge, according to the Express & Star.
McClaren has been out of work since he left Dutch side FC Twente in February of this year.
