Owen Coyle wants to be considered for the vacant head coach position at Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to reports.
Wolves parted company with Dean Saunders earlier this week after the club were relegated to League One.
That has resulted in the Molineux outfit revealing that they will appoint a head coach rather than a manager, and according to the Express & Star, Coyle is interested in the role.
The former Burnley boss has been out of work since his exit from Bolton Wanderers earlier this season, but sources close to Coyle say he would relish an opportunity to turn the club's fortunes around in League One.
Kenny Jackett, who left Millwall on the same day that Saunders was sacked, remains favourite to take over at the club.
