Six clubs outside of the Premier League are reportedly contemplating whether to make an approach for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Fabio Silva.

Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Fabio Silva is reportedly attracting interest from at least six European clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

Since moving to Molineux in a £35m deal in 2020, Silva has failed to convince at the West Midlands outfit, partly due to his younger years.

After two indifferent seasons, the 20-year-old was allowed to move to Anderlecht on loan and he later made the temporary switch to PSV Eindhoven.

In total during 2022-23, Silva contributed 16 goals and six assists from 51 appearances in all competitions, a portion of those outings coming from the substitutes' bench.

The Portugal Under-21 international now returns to his parent club, yet it remains unclear whether he will remain with Wolves during 2023-24.

With Diego Costa having been released, Raul Jimenez ready to move elsewhere and Sasa Kalajdzic still sidelined with a serious knee injury, Silva may effectively become the club's senior frontline striker if a fresh face does not arrive.

Nevertheless, according to BolaNaRedePT, there are six clubs who are monitoring any developments regarding his future.

His most recent club PSV, who have secured a place in the Champions League qualifiers, are one of those teams, although a permanent replacement for Ruud van Nistelrooy as head coach is yet to be found.

Dutch rivals Ajax are also said to be interested as they look to strengthen a squad that could only finish in third position in the Eredivisie this season.

German side Bayer Leverkusen, managed by Xabi Alonso and who have a history of signing younger talent, may make a move for the versatile attacker.

Silva also allegedly has admirers at La Liga sides Villarreal and Real Betis, as well as Turkish top-flight runners-up Besiktas.

While Wolves remain in a strong position due to Silva having three years left on his contract, a sale for the right price cannot be ruled out at a time when they must raise funds to meet FFP criteria.

The club's owners may also consider another loan stint for Silva, although that would realistically need to come with the player extending his deal by an extra 12 months or his temporary club possessing an option to buy for a fee of Wolves' liking.

In 62 Wolves appearances as a teenager, Silva has chipped in with just four goals and six assists, none of those coming during the 2021-22 Premier League.
