Dean Saunders admits that he is trying to bolster his Wolverhampton Wanderers squad with players from the Premier League.

Dean Saunders has confirmed that he is in talks with a number of Premier League clubs regarding loan signings.

Under Football League rules, clubs have until March 28 to make temporary additions to their squad for the remainder of the season.

Despite having refused to state the names, Saunders has insisted that he is trying his best to secure the services of some players from the top flight.

"I'm still looking at maybe getting one or two in. I'm trying my best to make that happen," the Express & Star quotes him as saying.

"There are a couple of teams who aren't prepared to let the players go who we want until they get another point, or that type of thing.

"We're in talks with three or four Premier League clubs - that's what we're trying to do right now."

The same publication has claimed that Saunders's main target is a centre-forward.
