Tiger Woods rises 155 places in World Golf Rankings

Tiger Woods moves into the world's top 400 after finishing in 12th place in last week's Honda Classic.

Tiger Woods has improved his position in the World Golf Rankings by 155 places after finishing 12th at the Honda Classic.

After multiple back operations Woods has found himself in the lower echelons of the world standings, but the 14-time Major winner went into last week's tournament having already registered a share of 23rd place at the Farmers Insurance Open in January.

At the Honda Classic, Woods showed further signs of improvement by putting together four solid rounds of 70, 71, 69 and 70 respectively to end the tournament in Florida just outside of the top 10, with his display taking him up to 389th in the rankings.

Woods is currently attempting to maintain his fitness for the The Masters in April, a competition which he has previously won on four occasions.

The schedule going forward for Woods is unclear, but the former world number one is likely to target an appearance at either the Valspar Championship or the Arnold Palmer Invitational during the early part of March.
