Craig Lee shoots 61 to take lead in Switzerland

World number 348 Craig Lee shoots a stunning 61 to take a two-shot lead heading into the final round of the European Masters at Crans-sur-Sierre, Switzerland.

Scotland's Craig Lee has stormed to the top of the leaderboard at the European Masters but narrowly missed out on carding the first-ever sub-60 round on the European Tour.

The 36-year-old, who is still waiting for his first win since turning professional in 1996, shot an amazing 10-under round of 61 after parring the final four holes at Crans-sur-Sierre.

Lee birdied the first six holes on a front-nine hot streak, which ended with par at the seventh. However, he was soon back on track with birdies at eight, nine and 10.

The only blemish on his scorecard came at the par-four 12th, but he responded in style by picking up more shots at 13 and 14.

The man from Stirling - ranked 348 in the world - now has a two-shot lead over Thomas Bjorn, Victor Dubuisson and Alejandro Canizares.

Tommy Fleetwood and Miguel Angel Jimenez are both on 11-under, while Ross Fisher and Brooks Koepka remain in contention on 10-under in Switzerland.
