Martin Kaymer has revealed that he enjoyed the pressure of sinking the winning putt as Europe retained the Ryder Cup in dramatic style on Sunday.

The German kept calm to beat Steve Stricker and cap a sensational turnaround for Jose Maria Olazabal's men at the Medinah Country Club in Illinois.

"This is indescribable. I was so nervous in the last two or three holes," Kaymer told BBC Sport. "Olazabal came up to me on the 16th and told me we needed my point to win the Ryder Cup. I loved that feeling. Loved it."

Kaymer won one point out of a possible two over the weekend.
