GB gymnast Claudia Fragapane "disappointed" to finish eighth in floor final

Great Britain gymnast Claudia Fragapane admits that she's "disappointed" to end her World Championships stint in eighth place in the floor final.

Great Britain's Claudia Fragapane has admitted that she feels "disappointed" to have ended her World Artistic Gymnastics Championship campaign in eighth place in the floor final.

The 16-year-old qualified for four finals at the tournament in Nanning, China, but failed to medal in any as she finished sixth in the team event last week and then 10th in the individual all-around final.

Fragapane also missed out on a medal by coming fifth in Saturday's vault final, and hampered her chances of reaching the podium in the floor final after suffering a fall during her routine.

"I was disappointed to finish that way, but I've learned so much this year and being here at my first Worlds," Fragapane told BBC Sport.

Fragapane won a record-equalling four gold medals for England at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the summer.
