Dr Mark Bonar denies Premier League doping reports

The doctor at the centre of the Premier League doping allegations describes the report at "false and very misleading".

The doctor at the centre of allegations of widespread doping in British sport has denied having any dealings with Premier League clubs or players.

The Sunday Times reported today that Dr Mark Bonar had claimed to have prescribed banned substances to 150 sports stars, including players from the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester City.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea have refuted the allegations, and Dr Bonar himself has now described them as "false and very misleading".

The report also claimed that Bonar had admitted to doping "an England cricketer, British Tour de France cyclists, a boxing champion and tennis players".
