A bus was reportedly set on fire in Sao Paulo shortly after Brazil were knocked out of the World Cup by Germany in a humiliating semi-final defeat.
Luiz Felipe Scolari's side failed to reach the final of the tournament on home soil following last night's 7-1 defeat to the Germans in Belo Horizonte.
Civil unrest marred the build-up to the tournament, and riot police were out in force in preparation for any trouble, but overall there were no serious issues for the authorities to deal with.
According to the Daily Mail, a few scuffles broke out around the stadium and an empty bus was set on fire in Sao Paulo following the result.
However, anticipated rioting did not occur as the country tries to come to terms with Brazil's worst defeat in 94 years.
Luiz Felipe Scolari's side will compete in the third-place playoff on Saturday.
