A number of Twitter users poked fun at Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley as an online Q&A session by his teammate Phil Jones backfired.

The defender tweeted his followers asking to send in some questions using the hashtag #AskPhilJones, promising to answer a selection via video.

It appears that the England international avoided a number of tweets as some fans took the opportunity to mock Cleverley.

One fan wrote, "if you could drop one player from the team, how would you tell Cleverley?", while another tweeted, "who is the better player cleverly or djemba djemba?".

Another fan posted his question to Jones by making fun of his facial expressions during matches.
